Animation 'Elephant King' warmly received by Iranians

Iran animation 'Elephant King' has succeeded to shine at the ticket window at domestic cinema theaters.

The flick succeeded to sell 6,500,000,000 Rials during the Nowruz holiday. The total gross for the animation has reached 9,368,240,000 Rials, a local media reported.

Set in Africa, the animated film ‘The Elephant King’ narrates the story of an elephant who rules over its group like a king.

The queen bears him a son and everybody expects the son to replace his father as heir to the throne.

The clumsy baby elephant, however, disappoints them all with its clumsy and incredible propensity to cause destruction and sabotage for the group.
